Jacob Stump, "Two Kinds of Eros in Plato"
Tue, Apr 13
|Zoom
Jacob Stump argues that there are two kinds of erōs: erōs for a beautiful object qua pleasurable, and erōs for a beautiful object qua central to happiness. He provides an account of how each kind is acquired, that explains also how each of us comes to adopt a particular conception of the good.
