Jyl Gentzler, "Defending Socrates' Defense of Justice Once More"
In 1963, David Sachs raised a challenge against Socrates' defense of justice in the Republic that has generated a multitude of responses. I argue that both Sachs and Plato's defenders fail to appreciate the significance of Socrates' vision of a just society to his defense of being a just person.
